Bharat Krishna approached us to create a visiting card for them, one that portrays the essence of how it feels when one thinks of Bharat Krishna Bakery, and put it into visuals.
It was amidst the time of growing and vibrant Ahmedabad that Bharat Krishna Bakery was born, a humble haven for the sweet tooth. From the very beginning, the bakery wasn't just about selling Khari and Breads; it was about capturing the essence of the city itself.
We were given the task to portray the essence of how it feels when one thinks of Bharat Krishna Bakery and put it in visuals for their visiting card. Showcasing Bharat Krishna in the context of old Ahmedabad was more than just aesthetics. It was a tribute to the city that nurtured it. The visiting card, with its visuals of old architecture and bustling markets, became a bridge between past and present. It whispered tales of a time when life moved at a slower pace, when the value of community and shared experiences held greater weight.
It is an iconic landmark that still stands tall amidst the ever-evolving city of Ahmedabad. This place also happens to be the place where the first ever bakery shop of Bharat Krishna was set up, and they started the change of brand establishments rather than existing as street hawkers in Ahmedabad. It is because of this initiative that people conferred Bharat Krishna with the title of "Delhi Darwaja Wala," and the landmark has become a small part of their brand history since!
Spelled in Gujarati as Chabutro, this tower-like structure found in India provides nesting sites for pigeons. While they are usually a part of outskirts of a city, Ahmedabad's old city architecture places Chabutro in the bustling crossroads in the aggregated city markets and shops established around these old areas are often perceived to be a renowned and trusted brand.
Atypical of usual market layouts in old cities, Ahmedabad is known for its Pol-based business clusters, which basically means a group of businesses and families belonging to similar professions. To show that Bharat Krishna has its lineage in time, we tried to showcase their first shop inside one such bazaar in their Visiting Card.
Showcasing their connection with all generations of people, we put different people on the visiting card while still showcasing those dreamy eyes of children, whose sole purpose of the market visit is to get some treats from shops like Bharat Krishna Bakery.
